All members of my courses get access to a monthly video call to ask questions, share insights about the material, offer alternative perspectives and generally engage in friendly conversation.
It’s a good way to keep your mind on the course, and to clarify any confusing concepts. Often times, this results in my creating a Q&A video or new piece of content, particularly when I’m hearing a question over and over again.
If there aren’t many questions, I will share what’s been going on in my practice or wax philosophical about some topic in the profession of acupuncture. I am hoping to keep the calls focused on business, practice management, self management and other professional topics. If there is enough interest, I may add a separate monthly call about medical topics.
Know that I will be recording these sessions, so anything you share will be heard by all course members. Definitely do not share your address or other private information nor any identifying information about patients!
When are the upcoming office hours calls happening?
I am in Oregon, Pacific time zone (UTC -7). Here is a time zone converting website for your convenience. I will endeavor to start on time, and may arrive a few minutes earlier. You can come and go as you please, but I will try to keep the call to an hour. If nobody shows within 15 minutes of a given call start time, I’ll assume nobody is coming and close down until the next scheduled time.

How to call into office hours
To serve these office hours, I use a service called Join.me. This allows me to share my screen or just show video, or if I happen to be on a poor Internet connection, to come in audio only as a last resort. I can allow other users to share their screens as well, and pipe in both video and audio so we can interact with one another. It’s available to use on almost any modern computing device. It’s very flexible!
Use of headphones with a microphone is essential when you attend office hours to reduce feedback issues. You should be on as strong an Internet/cell connection as you can manage. Again, please feel free to troubleshoot using Join.me’s support documentation.
If you can’t make it?
I will be endeavoring to record each session and sharing those recordings with all course participants. If you have a question you would like answered, but cannot make it live, simply use the form below to email it to me at least 12 hours before the call time and I will try to answer it as part of the call. If I miss your question, I’ll try to include it in a future session or blog post.
